Blue Bear Hotline is made by Blue Ridge Restaurants in Spartanburg, South Carolina. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect through this website and our free test, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

• The free-test form. Your name, restaurant name, phone number, and email address. If you include a menu link, we use it to set up your test.
• The chat. The questions you type, so Blue Bear can answer them. To keep the chat from being overused, we count messages per visitor per day using a scrambled code made from your internet address. The code changes every day and can't be turned back into your address, and we don't store the address itself.
• Your free 7-day test. Your menu, hours, and the calls made to your test line, including recordings and transcripts, which we use to check and improve your setup.
• Basic website logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (like which pages were loaded) to keep the site running and secure.

How we use it

• To contact you about Blue Bear and set up the test you asked for.
• To answer your questions in the chat.
• To run, check, and improve your test line.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

• If you don't go ahead after your test: your test data is kept for 30 days after the 7-day test ends, so you can pick up where you left off, and then it's erased. We keep only anonymous totals (like how many test calls were made), with no name or contact details.
• Contact details from the form: kept so we can follow up, until you ask us to delete them.
• Chat counters: cleared after about a week.

If you become a client, your service agreement explains how your restaurant's information is stored and used, and you choose what may be shown publicly.

Who helps us run it

A few service providers handle information for us, only to provide their service:

• Cloudflare hosts this website, our database, and our email.
• Vapi and the AI model providers it uses power the chat and the phone assistant, so your chat messages and test calls pass through them.
• Google Fonts provides the website's typefaces, so your browser loads them from Google.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll take care of it.

Please don't share passwords, card numbers, or other sensitive details through the form or the chat. We'll never ask for them there.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and its date.
